Personalized Learning
Centennial Academy offers the following Personalized Learning programs. This type of educational approach aims to customize learning for each of our scholar's strengths, needs, skills, and interests. We believe that scholars benefit from individualized learning programs based on what they know and how they learn best.
Centennial Academy is proud to offer the following Personalized Learning programs:
Beyond the Bell
“BTB” allows scholars to start the day with intervention or enrichment activities, according to individualized learning pathways. Most scholars engage in personalized instruction through the iReady Pathway, while others meet with educators for small group or one-on-one instruction. BTB occurs Mondays - Thursday, from 7:15 - 7:45 am.
WIN Block
“What I Need” (or WIN Block) is a 30-minute period of time strategically placed within each school day to meet the needs of individual scholars. Some scholars work in small groups with educators to address needs such as remediation, new concept mastery, or enrichment, while others work independently to maintain mastery level status. Accelerated Pathway scholars work with Renzulli, Beast Academy, and iReady on a rotating schedule.
Saturday “HERO” Academy
The second Saturday of every month, from 9 am - 12 pm, is dedicated to Centennial Academy's Heroes. Saturday School allows scholars another opportunity to receive remediation or enrichment in reading and mathematics.
March Madness
Just in time for the Georgia Milestones (and for college basketball season), March Madness affords scholars in grades 3-8 additional testing preparation. This is traditionally held over a series of Saturdays in March, from 9 am - 12 pm.
Summer Innovation Academy
“SIA” is a three-week summer program where rising scholars receive an introduction to new academic material in the morning and STEAM instruction in the afternoon.
