Thank you for your interest in Centennial Academy! We are a CREW that is dedicated to educating and growing scholars. Nestled in the heart of Midtown Atlanta: our community, our partnerships, and our educators help create a special and perfect place to be, Centennial Academy.
In 2014 Centennial Academy became the first and only Atlanta Public Schools conversion charter school serving grades K-8. Being a conversion charter means we are afforded the flexibility and autonomy of a charter school, while having a unique relationship with Atlanta Public Schools.

We are Crew! Staff Crew is not only a structure, but a way of being that enables our educators to connect and build relationships with scholars and other educators. The idea that “We are Crew, not Passengers,'' promotes a sense of belonging, ownership, and accountability throughout our school community. Crew as a structure empowers our educators to share ideas and engage in team building activities that require a unique level of trust and vulnerability. Crew is driven by our school-wide habits of character and serves as the model for how we engage with scholars and peers.
The Centennial Academy Crew of educators are passionate people who deeply care for our scholars and one another. It is the reason behind our successes. We are pleased to provide opportunities of fellowship for our staff through programs such as the Employee Advisory Committee, First Friday outings, and Educator Appreciation Days.

Additionally, Centennial Academy supports our new Heroes through mentoring programs and new teacher orientation. We cultivate a growth mindset where there is ongoing professional development that keeps all of our educators up to date on new research, curriculum resources, and educational trends.
