Dear Centennial Academy Educators and Families,
Today, we carry a heavy heart for the fellow educators and scholars who were tragically killed at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. We mourn with their families, their educators, and their entire community. But as a community, we must move to do more as citizens and hold our politicians and lawmakers accountable to stop the senseless acts of violence. Whether we like it or not, politics impact our everyday lives, and change truly starts at the polls. We thank you for your commitment to being an active citizen and modeling that important trait for our scholars.
While it is impossible to guarantee that a crisis will never arise at Centennial, please know that we have safety measures and protocols in place to help our educators and law enforcement respond in the event of an emergency. Our staff is committed to ensuring that the health, safety, and well-being of our CA heroes are always at the forefront of our work. We do not take it lightly that parents are entrusting their scholars to us everyday. We know and recognize that they are the most precious commodity in your life.
In moments like this, it is important how we come together as a community to respond. At Centennial, we believe in wrapping our arms around each other with an embrace. We believe in our collective strength as a community to show support to each other in the most difficult times of need. And more formally, our CA Counseling Staff is available to speak with any scholar who could benefit from an inviting, listening ear. Our Leaders and HR Department are also available for any staff needing assistance.
Thank you for the way we continue to embody our Core Value of Excellence and for the way that each scholar, educator, and parent contributes to the solidarity of the Centennial Academy family. Even in the most difficult times, we are #CentennialSTRONG.
In Service,
Stephanie Hodges,
Associate Head of School,
