Academic Affairs

Faculty Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 17 from 4:00pm - 5:30pm in the Cafeteria for all staff.
Parent-Teacher Conference Period - September 16th - November 3rd Centennial Academy designates two conference periods. During these months all teachers are required to meet with 100% of their parents. The purpose of these mandatory conferences is to provide face-to-face reviews of the scholar's progress during the course of the academic school year.
Common Assessment Period begins October 19 through October 24th. Please make sure you discuss the assessment schedule (which test is given on which day) and communicate the schedule with your scholars.

Student Life

Leadership Day - Leadership Day is October 18th. This is a formal dress uniform day for all Centennial Scholars and Staff. Teachers will eat in the cafeteria with their grade levels.
Parent University will be held this Wednesday on October 18, 2017 from 5:30pm - 7:00pm in the cafeteria. There will be a bullying workshop, Centennial 2017-2018 Title One presentation, and a visit from Breakthrough Atlanta.
Mandatory Child Abuse / Neglect Training - Please remember to complete the training in order to ensure that Centennial Academy has 100% compliance for this school year. Email a copy of your certificate to any of our counselors. Use this Link.

Operations

End of Day Procedures - Before you leave each day, please make sure that your classroom lights are off, blinds are closed, technology is turned off and secured (chromebooks carts locked), doors are closed/locked (if applicable).
Arrival Time - For the safety and security of all staff, we ask that you not arrive to campus any earlier than 6:45 am.

Enrollment

Enrollment Update - The annual internal audit is presently underway to ensure that ALL scholars meet the following enrollment eligibility criteria: 1) Sibling of a currently enrolled Centennial Academy scholar, 2) Child of a teacher and/or board member, 3) Resides within the defined APS attendance zone, and/or 4) Admitted through the verified lottery process. In order to maintain enrollment, ALL scholars must also have required documentation on file, including legal guardianship, proof of residency, current immunization record, birth certificate, social security card and/or waivers. PTA Room Parent Form/Survey - In an effort to provide our teachers with a helping hand in the classroom, your PTA is working to put Room Parents in place. We would love to know your preferences for a Room Parent in your classroom. Please note, these surveys will not be shared with Room Parent Candidates. Weekly Bulletin - All staff members are encouraged to submit items for the weekly bulletin. This will help reduce the number of individual emails sent each week.
